Inspirational words are used everyday by someone, somewhere.
So what makes certain people words so inspirational and outstanding that they are shared for decades? Historical speeches still being shared: MLK – I have a dream, Nelson Mandela – I am prepared to die, Patrick Henry- Give me liberty or give me death, Abe Lincoln – the Gettysburg address.
We look at these people and see them as historic figures but when they gave these speeches, they were not on the historic level that they are today. So what was it?
I believe it’s the courage behind those words. The passion and expression of their deep emotions and thoughts. The rawness of their thoughts. Not just the magical way they presented. I bet you anything that some of the greatest speeches were given by a person, just like us, whose knees were shaking too.
So what I’m trying to get to is, we all have the power to leave massive footprints. Speaking with courage, speaking from the soul, standing up for what we believe in even when it’s not in societies norm. I believe we all are capable of leaving a historic imprint.
That imprint may not be a Rosa Parks size imprint but it could be a generational imprint.
So when you say something, mean it. When you mean something, say it. Walk your journey with conviction and compassion. Be conscious because whether we leave a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama sized imprints on a global level or not, we absolutely leave them in the people we meet. In our children. In our bloodline.
You do matter. You matter so much that your words impact someone and/or many individuals.
So today, speak your truth. Mean what you say and say what you mean. You could inspire a chain of change. Maybe not in a racial fight but in someone’s world, ultimately changing their entire generational line.
I love you, I believe in you, you’re not alone.
Have an amazing day you inspirational Queen or King!
